Pollination Project aims to incubate a mix of viable land-based cottage industries and creative business ventures that can benefit from the practical support and encouragement that the Project can offer to these new initiatives. Ventures will be assisted in achieving their goals of creating ecologically sustainable, socially just and economically viable enterprises through such resources as access to land, equipment and infrastructure, training and hands-on skills development, business planning support, and assistance in the form of matchmaking services. These ventures are expected to include such diverse initiatives as a seed saving enterprise, a heritage tree nursery, an organic vineyard and winery, a dairy operation, a natural toy company, a web-design company, and many others.

Pollination Project is dedicated, over time, to building a cohesive evolving group that cherishes the benefits of living in a rural environment in a multi-age community. As part of this vision we plan to develop a “green neighbourhood” on a twenty-acre parcel of the property that is delineated by a grand horseshoe bend of the west branch of the LaHave River. Here amongst the tall pines and the sounds of the rushing river, we plan to build a community that will honour the spirit of the place and live up to the challenge of creating “a healthy social life, where in the mirror of each soul the whole community finds its reflection, and when in the whole community the virtue of each one is living.”
